Town of La Pointe Harbor Commission
This project involved engineering services associated with the installation of a new ramp for the Madeline Island Ferry Line and Town of LaPointe. Cooper Engineering assisted with siting the new ramp as current and future water elevations were critical to the performance of the new installation. Services provided included a topographic survey, coordination of soil borings, permitting assistance, detailed construction plans of the ramp's foundation and new seawall, bidding services and assistance with construction.
Cool Air Mechanical
This project had many of the issues that are common with our provided structural services at industrial and manufacturing facilities. Typical analysis includes verification of the existing building capacity to support the new loading and determining the best method to transfer loads to the building's structural system and foundation that can safely support those loads.
This project involved placement of a new condenser atop an existing building. Services included the analysis discussed above and the design of framework to transfer loads to the building columns. That same framework supported the unit and a maintenance walkway/railing system around the perimeter of the equipment.
