Village of Dorchester
Five blocks in the Village of Dorchester were reconstructed to improve water and sanitary sewer service and refresh the curb and gutter, storm sewer, and street surface with the assistance of CDBG and DNR funding. Sidewalk was replaced on 2 blocks of the project. Cooper Engineering completed an income survey, funding applications and administration, survey, municipal desigh, and construction observation for the project. A water distribution line was also replaced as part of the project, and subsurface drainage was placed beneath all streets to reduce the effects of freeze and thaw. The project addressed I/I, localized flooding, ADA compliance, fire protection, and reliable public infrastructure.
