President

Aaron Scharf, P.E., President of Cooper Engineering Company, Inc., leads the firm's vision and growth in civil and environmental engineering consulting. His expertise lies in assisting clients with development planning, identifying optimal project alternatives, and providing innovative, comprehensive solutions for complex site design and development challenges.
A longtime employee of Cooper Engineering, Aaron, was hired in 2003 after spending four years designing at firms in Minnesota and Iowa. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Iowa receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. Aaron was appointed to Cooper Engineering’s board of directors in April 2024 and elected Vice President in 2025, and became President in September 2026.
Aaron has significant experience in municipal and transportation engineering. His responsibilities include highway design, municipal street and utility improvements, industrial, commercial, and institutional site development. Aaron is well-versed in the standard requirements of the State of Wisconsin’s funding programs.
In his free time, Aaron enjoys travelling with his family, enjoying summers on the lake, golfing, hunting, playing hockey, and the many other outdoor activities that northern Wisconsin has to offer.
